ROSEMARY: The interesting question is where does knowledge go when it vanishes? If it resides in a book or a computer, and is not referred to, is it knowledge or merely information? Does knowledge require a human? I had three months more of my journal that I have been shaping into a novel on the notepad also. Not the first part that I sent you, but about 10 further pages. What I was doing was to take the quotes and thoughts and questions and weave connections between them, which were beginning to build up into two or three distinct voices so that I could discern the characters behind the voices by what and how they spoke. It was like a long dinner table conversation, or more nearly some chairs infront of the fire in the study at Barkers Road towards dawn. next |
